An extensive array of shops, galleries and boutiques, from the acclaimed Merz Apothecary to the Book Cellar independent bookstore, line both sides of Lincoln Avenue. The Chopping Block culinary school features interactive cooking classes, complemented by a first-class gourmet shop. Timeless Toys carries the city's best selection of handcrafted wooden toys. Café Selmarie and a host of other coffee shops feature freshly baked pastries and espresso drinks, perfectly suited for enjoyment at outdoor tables overlooking the Giddings Plaza fountain.
